Robin has been a professional guitarist for over twenty years. His repertoire ranges from Jazz standards, light pop and rock, classical, acoustic and Scottish traditional.
Robin studied classical guitar at Napier University Edinburgh with Rodger Quin and then continued his training at the RSAMD in Glasgow. Robin continues to lecture in music and is head of Guitar Studies at Stevenson College Edinburgh.
Having performed at numerous weddings and other events over the last decade, Robin has the experience to provide the music for any kind of event.
Robin’s extensive repertoire stretches from Air on a G String to Ain’t Misbehavin' or from Bach to the Beatles. An all Jazz performance is popular, as is a repertoire of pop and easy listening. A mixture of various styles, from Jazz, Light Classical and Pop and Rock to Acoustic - plus recent hits, are also available. Robin will be happy to arrange your favourite songs for solo guitar even if they are not on his current set list.
Robin has performed at many of the major UK wedding venues, including prestigious hotels, churches- as well as a number of stately homes. Robin can offer different packages to suit all requirements and budgets. The ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast, can all be enhanced with Robins eloquent playing.
