We are suckers for great musicianship here at Hireaband. But the boss is an anorak when it comes to the subject. He'll spend hours listening repeatedly to difficult guitar solos on demos and then confound us all with his take on difficult drum patterns.
Worse, he's aided and abetted by Martin Kyprianides, who runs the Berkshire offices in Ascot - when the two of them start talking about music, you won't get a word in.
So, the point of this story is Brighton based band, Good Company. For a young band on trend to include the Toto hit "Rosanna" among their demos certainly shows off their musical virtuosity buy boy does it lead to the boss goin off on another of his rapturous rants about legendary drummers - Jeff Porcaro ring any bells anyone? Anyone?
